A Summer long celebration of mind, body and spirit. Featuring free yoga and wellness events throughout the state. VYW and Be Well Virginia are organized by River’s Edge Yoga, Yogis for Positive Change, the Virginia Yoga and Wellness community, Old Town North Community Partnership, Embassy of India, community volunteers and local businesses. Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space…and Arm Balances! with Alyson Maclatchy

Join Alyson for a playful workshop that will focus on connecting the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space) to the practice of arm balances. The elements can lead us to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the movement of our energy in these challenging asanas. We will intelligently grow our edges, explore our breath, and discover more potent levels of awareness together. This practice is open to practitioners comfortable holding downward facing dog or plank pose for at least one minute. No arm balance experience is required!
