VYW and Be Well Virginia are organized by River’s Edge Yoga, Yogis for Positive Change, the Virginia Yoga and Wellness community, Old Town North Community Partnership, Embassy of India, community volunteers and local businesses. Breath Based Vinyasa


Join Stair as she breaks down the fundamentals of Breath Based Vinyasa Yoga. She will explain basic sequencing and how breathing with movement enhances the process of yoga.

Hatha yoga is the yoga of the body and breath, thus using the body and breath to quiet the mind. Yoga means to yoke, in this class we will be yoking the body with the breath.

Krishnamacharya, often called the father of western yoga introduced these concepts along with his son Desikachar.

Sequences of various difficulties will be taught and learned by the students. An mp3 will be available of the sequencing for home use. All levels encouraged!
