We foster community involvement and a pay-it-forward attitude through the Virginia Yoga Week Karma Project, benefiting those in need.” states VYW founder Margaret Townsend. “The positive energy generated through our efforts resonates throughout the other 51 weeks of the year as we create good karma throughout the Commonwealth.”

Donation – based Karma classes promote the yoga of selfless service. Supported charities are The Carpenter’s Shelter, Dogs XL Rescue, The Exalted Warrior Foundation, King Street Cats, Reston InterFaith, Yoga Gives Back and Yoga on the Steps-Living Beyond Breast Cancer. Virginia Yoga Week 2013 is presented by Yogis for Positive Change and the Virginia Yoga Community.
