A Summer long celebration of mind, body and spirit. Featuring free yoga and wellness events throughout the state. VYW and Be Well Virginia are organized by River’s Edge Yoga, Yogis for Positive Change, the Virginia Yoga and Wellness community, Old Town North Community Partnership, Embassy of India, community volunteers and local businesses. Josh Feinberg began his formal training with Dr. Peter Row while attending the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. In 2005, he initiated his training with Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and has received guidance from the maestro’s senior disciples including Sri James Pomerantz and Dr. George Ruckert. Josh continues his training with Ustad Ali Akbar Khan’s sons Ustad Aashish Khan and Sri Alam Khan, as well as his senior disciple, Sri Anindya Banerjee. Josh has also received guidance from Pt. Swapan Chaudhuri and Pt. Tejendra Majumdar and has learned tabla with Pt. Anindo Chatterjee during his Seattle workshops since 2010. In 2013, Josh released his debut CD Homage featuring Pt. Swapan Chaudhuri playing tabla and recently recorded his second album, One Evening in Spring, featuring Pt. Anindo Chatterjee on tabla. www.joshfeinbergmusic.com
Debu Nayak began learning from his grandfather, Chaudhury Kausalya Nandan, an accomplished pakhawaj and tabla player of the Punjab Gharana. Later, Debu became a disciple of Pt. Radhakanta Nandi of the Benaras Gharana. In 1981, Debu came to the US to pursue higher studies and continued his tabla taalim from Maestros like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt. Anindo Chattergee and Pt.
